Triad the solitaire
A solitaire partition puzzle — clear the board, three at a time.
Product Overview
Triad deals you a fixed board of cards and asks you to clear it entirely by removing groups of three that satisfy a matching rule. Every deal is guaranteed solvable — but the order you clear cards in matters. A greedy pick can strand the rest of the board in a position with no valid triads left. That tension is the whole game.
How It Works
1. Four Attributes, Three Values Each
Every card has a count, a shape, a shading, and a colour, each with three possible values. Three cards form a valid triad only if, for every attribute separately, the three cards are either all the same or all different.
2. Solvable By Construction
Boards aren't dealt randomly and checked afterward — they're built directly from a hidden solution, so a full clear is always possible from the very first card.
3. Order Is the Puzzle
Some triads on the board are decoys: valid on their own, but taking them first can leave the rest of the board unsolvable. Reading which triads are safe to take is the entire skill.
4. Seed-Addressable and Shareable
Every board is a pure function of a seed. Pick a difficulty and get a fresh deal, or share your exact board with a friend using the link in-game — the seed is the whole puzzle.
